Dinner to Honour OW Sir James Munby at Middle Temple

Tuesday 4 December 2018, drinks 6.45pm for 7.30pm dinner

OWs and Friends of MCS are invited to a dinner at Middle Temple to celebrate the retirement of The Rt Hon Lord Justice Munby (OW 1966).

On leaving MCS, Sir James read Law at Wadham College, Oxford. He graduated in 1970 and later that year was awarded the Eldon Scholarship.  He was called to the Bar at the Middle Temple in 1971 and took Silk in 1988, becoming a High Court judge in 2000. In 2013, Sir James was appointed President of the Family Division of the High Court of England and Wales.

Established from the middle of the 14th century, the Middle Temple has a long and distinguished history in Law. The Hall has also been the scene for plays and pageants; Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night was first performed there in 1602.
