Treasures from the MCS Archive

Wednesday 28 February, Magdalen College School, 6.30pm

OWs and Friends of MCS are invited to explore MCS history with our Archivist Lindsay McCormack and Director of the Waynflete Office Susie Baker. We will look at some of our top Treasures, ranging from OW John Foxe’s Book of Martyrs which dates back to 1583 and was considered to be the longest, most imposing and grammatically demanding book of its age, to OW Sam Mendes’ papers relating to his film American Beauty. We will also look at some of the beautiful portraits hanging in the Dining Hall of former Masters and other key School figures.
